Odyssey interviews

If you have applied to the program and are anxious about the next steps, keep reading! (If you have just heard of this amazing program and wish to apply late — the deadline was February 28 — contact your provincial/territorial coordinator to see if he or she is willing to accept your late application.)

Your provincial/territorial coordinator might do a pre-selection by reviewing your file or conducting a quick phone interview. Then, if you pass this step, you will be invited to an interview in or near your city.

The interview involves one or two interviewers and usually lasts around 30 minutes. Most of the interview will be conducted in your first language, and your second language may be assessed with one or two questions. Come prepared with a sound understanding of the Odyssey program and role of the language assistant, some ideas for classroom activities, and a clear notion of how your past education and experience will help you in this role.

Good luck!
